Basic Theology and Doctrine

• The Bible is God inspired (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

• God is triune: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14).

• The Baptism with the Holy Spirit imparts gifts to us and we demonstrate spiritual fruit through
   a spirit-filled life (1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Galatians 5:22).

• Divine healing is the power of Jesus Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith    (James 5:14-16).

• Baptism by immersion is an outward sign of the inner work of Jesus Christ in our lives    (Matthew 28:19).

• The use of bread and juice is a symbolic remembrance of the Lord’s Supper
   (1 Corinthians 11:24-25).

Becoming a Christian
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but by disobedience he fell from perfection. Due to the fact that we have fallen from perfection, Christ died for us in order to give eternal life to all who will believe in Him. Upon sincere repentance and a total acceptance of Jesus Christ, we are justified before God. This change that takes place in our hearts and lives is a very real transformation. It is God’s will that we align ourselves with His Word, are growing in the faith, and walking in the Spirit daily. Our walk should never lead us into extreme fanaticism but should display the fruits of the Spirit. It is our belief that everyone is held accountable and should submit to those in authority except when it is in direct violation of God’s will (Romans 5:12, John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:8, 1 John 1:9, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20, Hebrews 6:1, Ephesians 4:30-32, Philippians 4:5, Romans 12:1-5).

The Church
The principle role of the church is evangelism and we believe it is our spiritual responsibility to identify ourselves with the visible Body of Christ. We believe that tithes and offerings are a method ordained by God for the support and spread of the Gospel (Acts 16:5, Hebrews 10:25, James 5:20, Malachi 3:10, 2 Corinthians 9:7).

The Future
We believe that the second coming of Jesus Christ is personal and imminent. Everyone shall stand before the judgment seat of God and will receive eternal life or death. Heaven is the glorious eternal home of born-again believers and hell is the place of eternal torment for all who reject Jesus Christ as the Savior (1Thessalonians 4:16-17, 2 Corinthians 5:10, John 14:1-3, Revelation 7:15-17, Revelation 20:10,15).
